Germany is well known for its noble Riesling, but there are many other impressive German wines. Among them, we love the dry Muller-Thurgau and Silvaner, the dry and sweet styles of Scheurebe, and Pinot Noir, here called Spatburgunder ("late Burgundy"). The regions of Baden, Franken, and Pfalz specialize in these varieties.
