We are always so delighted to stumble across another, brilliant, Chablis producer. In an area that is over cropped, ravaged by “traditional” farming, meaning scorching the soils with pesticides, one needs to truly ferret out the best and brightest. The true farmers committed to growing healthy fruit in order to showcase their terroir. We have that here with the Dampt wines. Pure cold climate Chardonnay on the nose here. That steely, lemon rind, limestone and straw aromatic. In the mouth, you get more stony notes and lots more zip and energy. This wine craves oysters!
