Clay Brock's winemaking team should get lots of credit for producing this big and flavorful Rhone-inspired red. 59% Grenache, 23% Mourvedre, 15% Syrah, and 3% Cinsault make up the blend, and careful work in the vineyard has paid off handsomely for the winery. There is a brilliant appearance to the wine, with a toasty aroma that includes black fruits and spice, the saturated blackberry flavor carries through from the first sip to the finish. Best of all is the round and plush mouthfeel. A red wine so sexy it might make you postpone dinner.
