30% each Grenache and Mourvedre with 40% Syrah, this is the meatiest offering I have ever had from this humble little estate. Deep color with perfect ripe melon and berry on the nose with just a kiss of minerals in the middle. Pretty weighty in the mouth but balanced out by serious acidity and a tight racy finish."That may just be the rosé of the year," Randy said after tasting this offering from an old favorite. Have to say that I am right there with him, this is the finest vintage yet from L'Hortus, pure, bright, fresh berry fruit, a refreshing core of mouthwatering minerals and a focused finish with fine acidity, this rosé is in perfect balance and firing on all cylinders.
