I was at a dinner with Dominique Lafon and I told him that his red wines inspire me to take another sip, he seemed quite pleased! Lafon is known for making world-class white Burgundy so his reds tend to get overlooked, which is sad because if you have never had a Lafon red Burgundy, you are really missing out. Super succulent tart red cherry on the nose with a earthiness that reminds me of red clay. In the mouth the wine is both assertive and elegant.
