We carry two Zweigelts from the Mariells, and this first one is their estate Zweigelt that is a lovely light red that I compare to a Pinot Noir in some ways because it is such a food-friendly wine with a medium body that compliments dishes such as roast chicken or pasta with meat sauce. The aroma is fruit-forward, with cherries and blueberries coming to mind, while on the palate there is a deep flavor in spite of the relatively light to medium-light weight.
