This California original is composed mainly of the obscure aromatic Flora grape with a little Gewurztraminer added for fresh-ness, and structure. Flora, a cross between Gewürztraminer and Sémillon, was a creation of U.C. Davis. In this distinctive semi-sweet bubbly, the fruit takes on an aroma not unlike European Malvasia, but exhibits the foxy flavor of white Concord wine. A good candidate for an elegant brunch or luncheon buffet. Maybe even a wedding.
