Six generations of Lur-Saluces' oversaw the property after Amedee de Lur-Saluces married Lady Josephine de Sauvage in 1785. What makes this the one and only sweet white wine classified as a Superior First Growth? First it's rigorous vineyard practices, vigorous selection in the vineyard (where some harvests are not bottled) and a vinification process that last four years in the cellar. I've tried this vintage on two occasions and I could see drinking this bottle rather quickly. It's long and refined, silky, balanced and intense. Typical aromas of honey and tree fruits, together with vanilla fill your nose. This is a treat!
