For just a little background, Veramonte is located in the remote Casablanca Valley alongside Chile's rugged Pacific coast. The wild Patagonia lies to the south and the Andes Mountains rise to the east. Here, Veramonte owns 1,000 acres of grapevines nestled among 11,000 acres of preserved natural wilderness. Now, the wine: When I was presented this Sauvignon Blanc from Veramonte, I immediately noticed the vibrant, aromatic nose of guava and citrus. This followed with a clean, zingy palate of tropical fruit and bright acidity. This is a fantastic Spring/Summer wine that is appealing on so many levels!
