This wine is all about the finish. It last for quite some time, and then keeps going. The best part is the flavor that lingers: maple, walnuts, and warm butterscotch. Of course with a wine of this caliber the nose and initial entry onto the palate are pretty fabulous, too! Rich and full, with a viscous nature, but the backbone of this wine balances out the richness. That backbone, or acidity, by the way is what makes the finish so wonderful. Colheita is a wine made from a single harvest – as the vintage might suggest.
