Chardonnay is still a bit of a hit or miss proposition in New Zealand, but this one's a hit, big time. Clearly styled after the best French examples of Chardonnay from Burgundy, this wine has a lean, crisp style with buttered toast and lemon curd flavors. Neither too soft nor too oaky, this is a very classy and elegant style of Chardonnay, best suited to richer fish and chicken dishes, or with cheese. Very fine.
