The winery, Munosancho, was started in 1992 by Carlos Gutierrez Huerta and is named after his hometown. This 100% Verdejo shows that after fourteen years of making wine Huerta knows what he’s doing. As primarily a red wine drinker I always marvel at and enjoy the freshness, crisp acidity, and lovely aromatics of Spanish whites; which this beauty from Rueda has. A wine like this makes me want to switch to whites for everything! Stone fruit, with hints of spice, and my ultimate drug - acidity - are the reasons for the pleasure this brings to my glass…and taste buds!
