This is a classic New Zealand-style sauvignon blanc, which means plenty of crisp fruit with hints of grapefruit and fresh-cut herbs in a clean, fresh-tasting package with lots of zip. Perfectly balanced and not too tart. Thanks to the weak dollar, prices for New Zealand sauvignons have been creeping up lately, but Dashwood holds the price nicely without sacrificing the qualities we've come to love in New Zealand sauvignon blanc. Still a terrific bargain for the quality.
