This great white from Argentina was a big hit last year, and now we have the wine back in stock, and it's from the excellent 2009 vintage. This delicious, crisp chardonnay sees no oak, so the purity of the fruit shines through. Bright fruit flavors of pear and lemon curd are very fresh, and a hint of minerality adds to the sense of purity. Surprisingly, the flavors include a slight toasty element even though there's no oak, adding to the complexity and interest in the wine without overpowering it. This is a remarkably classy and delicious chardonnay at any price--for less than $10, it's a steal.
