A stunning Riesling Spatlese from Oberhauser Brucke, one of Donnhoff's best vineyards, which produces not only top-notch Spatleses, but eisweins that will blow your socks off. This 2004 Spatlese is stunning, with development already being seen here, with some of the baby fat and sugar falling off and showing the intense minerality and structure of this wine. A great nose is followed by a palate of rich, balanced peach fruit, fantastic 2004 acidity, and oyster shells and just a je ne sais quoi that makes you want to take another sip and another sip......... this is a sensational wine.
