A wholly-owned vineyard (Monopole site), the Brücke is located right beside the river Nahe. It is my personal favorite of all of Dönnhoff’s vineyards, the Brücke is known for producing legendary eisweins that linger in the mind long after the bottle is finished. The Spätleses are consistently prized as well, with their display of fine minerality and full, rich fruit. The 2007 Brücke Spätlese shows tons of stoniness, owing to the insanely lengthy growing period for these grapes, and a lightness on the palate that is almost paradoxical with its rich concentration.
