For the longest time, the only wines from Greece we had in stock were from the large producer Boutari. Now, we have the good fortune to get this wine from the Boutari family’s private small winery, Kir-Yianni. Petra is made from an indigenous Greek white grape called Roditis that I think is absolutely delicious. More minerally than fruity, it shows fine crispness and freshness on the palate. This is a perfect wine with fish, or a cold plate of sandwiches and cheese.
