Cristiano van Zeller started this project in the late 1990s when he left the famed Port house Quinta do Noval. Most of the releases have been highly regarded by the press and when I first tasted this I could see why. It's plush and creamy - almost sexy - and will provide any Zinfandel lover with a new experience. It's balanced with wonderful red fruit, tannin, and acidity. Seven grapes make up the final blend: Tinta Amarela, Refete, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Francesa, Touriga Nacional and Sousao.
