Chono is committed to organic farming, something the owner learned while gaining experience in the U.S. with Fetzer and Bonterra. This is a rich, modern style of cabernet, with plenty of fruit and richness, accented with a hint of creamy oak. Very plush and round in the mouth, but not flabby or overripe, with cassis, black raspberry, and vanilla flavors well balanced with good acidity and smooth tannins. While too many Chilean cabernets have a green, herbal streak running through them, this one doesn�t, relying instead on its delicious fruit flavors and its rich texture. A very classy cabernet that tastes more expensive than it costs.
