This is an un-filtered sake that is milky white in appearance. It has a gorgeous, slightly floral nose with just the slightest hint of anise. Sweet (from the rice; not sugary) with a very rich mouth feel. Starch from the rice and particulates coat the glass. This is a traditional Nigori and I would have to say one of the best ones I have ever had. Rated in the top ten during a large tasting of new sake imports to the United States in 2007, this sake is almost never scene outside of Japan. Our supply is extremely limited.
