Named for the ancient Greek computer used to predict astronomical positions and eclipses, this Pinot shows just as much layering and intrigue as its namesake. Maggie Harrison has created a huge buzz in the Oregon Pinot scene with her thoughtful and passionate wines, and this Pinot is a classic representation of her style: elegant, perfumed, and yet brimming with dark and rich red mountain fruits. There’s weight and texture like velvet with the feel of suede on the long finish. This fruit is from her tiny estate vineyard of extremely shallow soils on an outcropping of ancient fossilized seabed. Extremely limited.
