This vintage this highly popular, but still very small production, winery made a couple changes in their Rose program. First of all they increased their production a bit to fit the demand, and they added some Temperanillo and Grenache to the Touriga Nacional, (a variety used to make Port wines) though the latter still makes up the bulk of the wine. Here you find a wonderfully savory, almost gamy Rose on the nose and the palate. Some gravely, stony notes on the nose but this is a meaty Rose that is begging for things like grilled or barbecued chicken, pork chops or cured meats. Sort of a “cool kids” favorite so get it while you can.
