Beeslaar 2018 Pinotage Stellenbosch, South Africa

Abrie Beeslar is the winemaker at the esteemed Stellenbosch property Kanonkop and he has started the adventure of creating his own label. His grapes come from a property just 2 kilometers from the Kanonkop property. The wine is aged in 16 French Oak barrels and 1 American Oak barrel for 18 months. The wine itself is lushly layer with notes of boysenberry and blueberry. It is carried by a polished structure and backed by mocha and dark licorice notes with a lengthy finish. Pair with sausages, roasted meats, pork, rich pastas.
