This poor young husband and wife team have suffered some serious fruit loss in the past couple of vintages. The Loire Valley can be punishing in difficult weather and this optimistic couple just keeps plugging away. Inspiring to say the least. When we were tasting I was informed that if I liked this 2015 I had better grab it now seeing at they lost 96% of their fruit in 2016. The good news, I loved the 2015 and was able to get us a case! The Chenin Blanc for this, quite dry Montlouis, come from two different plots, one 70 year old vines and the other 40 year old, so there is plenty of depth and complexity here. Subtle pears, plenty of tangy citrus and a backbone of super high acidity. Long life for this one, if you can keep your hands off of it!
