Delightful summer wine with a price everyone can afford.
This great little white blend from of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, and Viognier from the Swartland in South Africa is a fun project for the winemaker. Adi Badenhorst produces his wine for the season then takes what he produced and selects certain wines for each vintage of The Curator. Everything is produced from bush vines (old vines) from small growers that he knows and trusts. The Blend is made up of 60% Chenin Blanc, which is the backbone of the blend as it is for a lot of white wines in South Africa. The Chardonnay is 20% of the blend and is naturally fermented for a long period of time seeing no oak treatment. This long fermentation gives it a great texture and wacky aromas of dried peaches and apricots with a ripe citrus finish. The Viognier brings a hint of spice and lengthens the palate of the wine. 6 months after fermentation they take a few different blends of the wine to different wine dinners and eventually they settle on the blend of the wine.
