Craft Beer News: Drink Local

Surprising Discoveries are Coming from Our Own Back Yard

We can all agree that craft beer is a wondrous thing.  As is supporting local businesses.  So why not combine the two and drink local craft beer?

Over the past few years some absolutely wonderful new craft breweries have opened up in the greater Long Beach area that absolutely deserve your attention. One being our Signal Hill neighbors Ten Mile Brewing. They are family owned, and operated brewery with an incredibly beautiful tasting room. These guys do some incredibly great IPAs that are very diverse in flavor profile. And the best part? They also package their beer so we can support them and keep them on our shelves!

Good grabs at The Wine Country that are coming in from Ten Mile Brewing include:

  • “The Barley” a wonderful and rich barrel aged barley wine $19.99/ bottle

  • “Tsar of the Hill” a strong and viscous barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout $19.49/bottle

Now about a year and a half old, the Long Beach Beer Lab is quickly making a name for themselves. They are a husband and wife owned brewery and bakery specializing in barrel aged sour beer and sourdough baked goods. Though they also dabble in all different styles of delectable libations from wonderfully crafted IPAs to delicious chocolaty stouts. Having worked for them in the past and maintain a great working relationship, they will always have a place on our shelves.

Good grabs at The Wine Country coming in from the Long Beach Beer Lab include:

  • “Milk The Mustache” their flagship barrel aged tart farmhouse ale that is just to die for. $13.99/bottle

  • “Milk The Plum” a fun spin on their flagship beer, this time they added 900lbs of plums! $17.99/bottle
