Peugeot Wine Accessories Offer High-End Quality
from the Auto Maker's Culinary Line
I think it was two or three years ago, our good friends John and Lyn Pohlmann have Randy and me a gift of a high-end "Ah-so" style cork puller from the French automobile company Peugeot. Randy was so impressed by the presentation and the (pardon the expression) manly heft of the device, he looked everywhere for the American supplier so we could get some for the store.
Then a few months ago a wine gift salesperson walked in our door with the Peugeot Culinary catalogue and Randy about wet his pants with excitement. Not content to acquire more two-prong cork pullers, he ordered a rechargeable electric cork puller, a massive wing puller, a lever cork puller, another puller with the same design of the old Screwpulls, an elegant decanter and a decanter drying rack. All are boxed in "manly" solid boxes that make great gifts. And they are especially good if the recipient of your generosity is yourself.

Another delectable recent acquisition are Peanut Butter Balls from Celebré made in nearby Costa Mesa. A 4 ball assortment goes for $9.99. Warning: if you give this as a hostess gift for someone who won't share, lifelong friendships may dissolve. They are hauntingly good.
