A newer wine, this 100% Cabernet Franc hits it out of the park. Showing the expertise that comes from a 100year history of growing high altitude grapes and making fine wine, this wine is refined, smooth and delicious. It has bright minerally red fruit aromas and clean, nicely tannic but very smooth dark fruits with a delightful savory herb, dark olive edge - but without that strong green edge some Cab Francs overpower you with. There is very nice natural acidity and very nice texture to go with a pure core and nicely tannic finish. This wine blew me away with its style and quality. And, speaking from personal experience, this wine is perfect with steak
