J. Davies 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, Diamond Mountain District, Napa Valley

The Davies family are the proprietors of Schramsberg vineyards in Napa Valley. Rich aromas of dark red cherry, black plum, tobacco leaf and white pepper. A layered palate with fruitful flavors of cassis and blueberry and undertones of cinnamon, clove, and coriander and a polished fine-grain tannin giving it a long finish. This wine consist of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Malbec, 3% Petit Verdot and spends 24 months in French Oak 78% of which is new.

Heitz Cellars 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, Trailside Vineyard, Napa Valley

This certified organic, sustainably farmed Cabernet is picked from individual blocks and fermented separately and unblended for a year that it spends in neutral oak. It then gets put into 100% new French oak barrels tasted and evaluated for 2 years and the best barrels are used to create the Trailside Cabernet. It then spends four full years in oak before it is blended to create the final product that you find in the bottle in front of you. Soft silky tannins, blackberry, ripe raspberry, cassis, brier notes that fill the glass and are completed with an earthy sweetness of fresh vanilla, toasted nuts and baking spice.

Elizabeth Spencer 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

The grapes from this wine are all handpicked, and hand sorted to ensure quality. The fermentation was done with native yeasts and then further macerated on the skins for color and flavor extraction then put into barrels for twenty-four months and it is unfined and unfiltered. The aromas on this wine present with cassis and cigar box with notes of dried cherries. A velvety palate with ripe plum on the entry and finishes with cherry and dusty cocoa. Soft acidity lends a brightness making the wine read to drink now or lay it down for 5 years.

Dry Creek Vineyards 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, Dry Creek Valley

This wine is 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec , 2% Petit Verdot. The wine spends 17 months in French Oak 31% of which is new. The nose is full of black cherry, black currant, dried blueberries, and a sprinkle of herbs de province cola leather and black olive. Full bodied palate with flavors of black currant, dried cranberry, with notes of cocoa powder, espresso, nutmeg and cedar. Fruit forward and youthful with fine tannin.

Continuum 2014 Sage Mountain Vineyard, Napa Valley Proprietary Red Wine

The Mondavi Family have been producing wine not only in Napa Valley but around the world for four generations now. High on Prichard Hill Tim Mondavi started the Continuum tradition that his children have continued to this day the excellence instilled by Roberts passion for growing and making world class wine.

In 2012 the first Vintage of Continuum was produced from all estate fruit. 2016 produced low yields on the estate with some extended hang-time on the vine. The blend varies from vintage to vintage but 2016 produced a wine with 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Cabernet Franc, 18% Petit Verdot, and 5% Merlot. The Continuum grapes come from a wonderful hillside vineyard on the east side of the valley. The soils of this vineyard are volcanic and iron rich which gives the wine a great structure and focus. This wine is simply elegant; aromas of citrus blossom and rose petal. The palate is powerful and continues to build its presence on the palate with cassis and dark fruits, bergamot, dried wild hers and notes of a cigar smoking lounge that is filled with large leather chairs.
