Everything from the packaging to the first sip of this wine is impressive. Fairly modern label with a wax dipped bottle top and organically grown. Winemaker Yann Charlopin set out to produce wines that while classic in flavor and structure, showed a bit more flesh and extraction at an earlier age and let me tell you, he has nailed it with this Marsannay. Gardenias, honeysuckle and pear skin all over the nose, almost makes you want to dab in behind the ear it is so full of generous perfume. Very focused but silky on the palate with more floral notes that spin into some balancing herbs and reduced citrus. The finish is way long and invites you back over and over again.
