Chateau De Segries 2019 Lirac "Cuvee Reserva", Rhone Valley

This generous and affordable Rhone red drinks like a baby Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Made from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Cinsault, with an average vine age of 80 years, and aged in cement tanks to retain the freshness. The fruit here is dense and speckled with dried herbs and faint stony/earthy notes. Full in the mouth without being jammy or over-blown. This is a prefect red for grilled and sauced meats, game or richly stewed dishes.
