Chateau Haut Selve 2019 Graves, Bordeaux

Made from nearly equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, all from Graves and from a spectacular vintage. What is not to love here? The soils in Graves tend to be, well, gravely, and here you find that whisper of places in the stoniness of the aromatics. Nice dark fruit and nearly flinty notes with a firm texture and delightfully sturdy tannin. Think hearty stews and grilled/roasted meats.
