One of those gorgeous wines that reminds you why Bordeaux is so famous. Stunning integration, regal mouth feel with solid, but silky, tannins.
"Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Le Gay offers a very serious, classic notes of plum preserves, mulberries and baked black cherries with hints of tilled soil, cloves, cedar chest and tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has firm, grippy tannins and plenty of muscular fruit, finishing on a stewed tea note. Drink 2020-2032."

Chateau La Croix de Gay was one of the very first estates in Pomerol to begin bottling wine at the domaine back in the 1800s. Through the years they have acquired more and more land and now make a sizeable amount which is incredibly lucky for us! Dark plums and smoked cherries on the nose and palate. Merlot gives the wine a freshness and gentle hand while the Cabernet Franc offers a bit more earth and pretty floral notes. An early drinking Bordeaux that simply needs a quick decant to let it open to its full and beautiful expression.
