Great structure in this wine with aromas and flavors of smoked tea leaves, baked red cherries, and a touch of roasted coffee. This wine is gentle, elegant, with very supple tannins. Great with lamb, roast pork, and duck.

Such a graceful and regal Bordeaux. Merlot makes up the majority of the blend with a little Cabernet Franc which adds some grip and a firmer structure. This family owned domaine make wine in Graves and in Entre-Deux-Mers and can trace their family ties back to 1794. One of the very early adapters they started farming sustainably way back in the 1950s. Their focus is on healthy fruit to produce wines of great structure. Hints of smoked tea leaves, cooked red cherries with and a touch of roasted coffee. Very gentle in the mouth with supple tannins.
The friendly and easy-going brother-and-sister team of Jean-Christophe Darriet and Sandrine Darriet-Froléon are part of a family tradition that began in 1794. The Darriets were among the first families in France to return to sustainable farming in the 1950s. Today, they are still at the forefront of the sustainable movement here.
