85% Malbec and 15% Merlot from the South of France. Tremendous red value.
Remember those Cahors that were dark, tannic, wild with grip and almost mean texture? Yeah, this is not that. The nose is very generous here, like crushed berries, dried herbs, and a touch of something like green tea. Still quite dry and savory on the palate with a firm structure but the addition of 15% Merlot to the Malbec here adds a nice softness. Excellent value. Wants meat.
