Farmed sustainably in Bordeaux’s Blaye appellation in gravel and sandy soils very near the Gironde river. The bulk of the blend here is Merlot but there is a little Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec added for extra grip and depth. This style of Bordeaux has been tremendously successful for us lately. Lighter in color and extraction, no new oak, just pure, fresh red wine that can even handle a little chill if one were so inclined. Enticing herbal notes on the nose, black tea and some cooked tart red cherries. Bursting with bright, refreshing red fruits and dried herbs on the palate with just a tough of flint. Wicked easy drinking this is the kind of joyous red that keeps welcoming you back for another sip, and then another. Stock up for Summer, trust us, your backyard grilling situations are begging for this!
