This intriguing little Loire red is made from organically farmed Gamay with a touch of the local Grolleau blended in. Here you find a fantastically bright, dry red wine that is full of life and energy. Tart red fruit with a big crack of black pepper and budding flowers. Great tension and precision with that crunchy bite of refreshment on the finish.

Chateau Soucherie is located in the heart of the Loire Valley in France near the village of Beaulieu-sur-Layon.  The chateau itself was built toward the end of the 19th century but ownership has changed. Since 2007, the property has been owned by Roger Beguinot. There are 70 acres of vineyards, planted mostly to Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc with some Grolleau.  This red is predominantly Cabernet Franc with a small amount of Grolleau.
