Second to Chateau Clinet made from mostly Merlot with a splash of Cabernet Franc. Juicy, full, dark color and flavors. Built for meaty foods and time in the cellar.
A second to famed Bordeaux estate, Chateau Clinet and comprised of mostly Merlot, 95% in fact with a tiny splash of Cabernet Franc added. Brilliant dark, deep purple in the glass with aromatics of plump blackberries, dried herbs, baked clay and a generous sprinkle of spice. Plump and full in the mouth, a wine of noble texture, powerful and assertive but far from clumsy. Gobs of fruit, firm body, delicious vanilla on the long grippy finish. With a decant this is ready for some hearty meat forward dishes but there is enough grip that this can easily hold on for 10 years in the cellar.
