There is a noticeable presents of barnyard on the nose which does come through on the palate as well, but lighter in flavor than in smell. That earthy barnyard  profile leads to notes of red tart cherries paired with hints of tobacco. The earthiness comes back and serves as a buffer for the mid-palate before soft plum fruit comes out on the finish.
