Didier Dagueneau was an icon in French wine - a cross between a mad scientist and crusader. His perfectionism was legendary with strict fruit selection, very low yields, and lots of experimentation, especially with oak. He died in a 2008 plane crash, leaving his well-prepared and accomplished son, Louis Benjamin at 26 years of age in charge of the estate.

Louis Benjamin has not only continued the legacy, but has built on it, with his wines among the greatest Sauvignon Blancs in the world. All grapes for wines are whole-cluster fermented in stainless steel and oak barrels with different varieties of native yeasts. Wines remain on lees until bottling.

A very limited number of bottles were made of this wine - it is concentrated, racy, and memorable. The grape is Petit Manseng.

Memorable, concentrated, racy! Dry with intensity and weight. Aromas and flavors of tropical and stone fruits, both ripe and confited,, orange peel and nuts with defining minerality, balanced acidity. Pair with roasted white meats.
