One of the oldest wineries in the Barolo region of Piedmont, Italy, Damilano's family wine business started in 1890. Giuseppe Borgogno was the original wine maker, and steadily improved the vines and vinification systems helping to make it the prestigious location it is now. Giuseppe died in 1997 and his grandchildren now run the facility, constantly improving along the way. This steady dedication shows in their wines. Barbera grows well in this site with deep clay infertile soils against the Monferrato hills.
