Daniel Schweizer 2019 Burg + Berg, Wurttemberg, Germany

The wine is aged in neutral oak and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. The first thing I noticed on the palate was soft silkiness that coats the mouth. Subtle white pepper along with hints of vegetal lead to some rich purple fruit. Hints of tobacco leaf add to the depth of the wine and play along with the white pepper and vegetal that started the experience. Delicate but layered.
