Domaine Leccia 2019 Patrimonio Rouge, Corsica, France

When I looked back on my tasting notes for this wine I found that I used, well, some “colorful” language to describe the aromatics. This is a very sexy wine in that wild and untamed kind of way. Not juicy and round, no, this is more of a feral, wild wine with an almost chewy feel to it. Patriminio is in Corsica and is known for their meaty reds, this is indeed one of those. Made from Niellucciu, known better as Sangiovese, the nose is deep and roasted, reminds me of dark coffee, black fruit and smoke, Plum and berry on the palate along with that roasted note. Feels big but in a noble way.
