Third generation winemakers farming organically in vineyards that were planted after World War II. The family prefers to spend their time in the vineyards rather than tinker around in the cellar. 95% Syrah with a scant 5% of Viognier splashed in for aromatic beautification. Very floral, like violets, but there is also some bacon and black olives. Not as grippy or saturated as many northern Rhone reds which makes this a fabulous wine for early drinking with a big slab of something beefy or hearty lamb dishes.
