Founded in 1998 by a foursome of Australian wine experts, this is modern New Zealand winemaking at its best. The winemaker, Larry McKenna, is called Larry McPinot because of his level of expertise with this varietal in New Zealand, and is a proponent of ageworthy Pinot Noirs. The famous rocky soils of Martinborough and cool maritime climate provide ripe but complex fruit. This is a muscular Pinot Noir.
