This wine is grown on the Barton Vineyard, Huangarua road in Martinbrough from vines that are 25 years or older. The terraces in this location are known for their alluvial gravels and a blend of many clones of pinot grapes. The fruit is hand harvested and open top fermented in wooden cuvees and hand plunged for 22 days. It is matured in 40% new French oak barriques for 18 months then it was fined but not filtered.
