Vernaccia di San Gimignano is a lively dry white wine from the area surrounding the medieval town of San Gimignano in Tuscany which has a rich history dating back to at least 1286. Vernaccia di San Gimignano was the first DOC wine to be declared in Italy in 1966 and is still the only DOCG white wine in Tuscany. On the nose, this wine offers delicate floral notes, complemented by hints of ripe citrus and green apple. On the palate, it is crisp and well-balanced, with a lively acidity that makes it perfect to pair with seafood, salads, or light pasta dishes.
