48% Blaufrankisch, 48% Zweigelt and 4% Syrah is the make up of this Woodburn Oregon wine. Such a unique mouthfeel and profile, any Natural Wine fan has to try it!
This is by far one of the most interesting wines I’ve ever tried. The mouthfeel, the savory and fruity aspect and the fact that the taste profile reminds me of one of my favorite Spirts? It was a mind-blowing experience for me, and I hope you enjoy it too. My palate was introduced to a blend of tart red fruits; cranberries, pomegranate and cherries, that coated my taste buds. This herbal characteristic came sliding in, but what does that taste like? I thought to myself, is that, it couldn’t be, it is; it taste like Agave. Along with this agave note, an earthy, almost smokey soil quality tickled my tongue. And then it hit me; tart red fruit? Agave? Smoke? This Oregon Red Blend taste like a Mezcal Cocktail! Like one I’d get at Mezcalero; balanced, no ingredient is lost or unneeded, and delicious. This is for sure one that you won’t forget.
