Amazingly forward and ripe on the nose while still retaining its Burgundian savory and restraint. Tart red cherries, smoke, cured meat and hints of cherry pipe tobacco on the nose. More of the same running through on the palate. Feels quite stuffed and giving but with grownup structure. Kind of loving the balance and forwardness now but you can feel that this wine will just get better with a few years to shed some of its baby fat and acid.
