Not going to lie, I was at first in love with the packaging here. I love the bottle shape and vintage labeling but just as with any wine that comes in a flamboyant package, it was judged a little more critically to ensure that we are paying for a delicious wine that just so happens to come in a fantastic package. I spent extra time being charmed by the super vibrant aromatics. Swished the vivacious nearly neon pink wine a little longer in across my palate before I scribbled off a few notes, dropped my pen and told the importer, “I take ten cases”. Made from 100% Gamay and playful with fruit but there is a serious amount of mineral action here too. Enough texture to slide up against a varied array of dishes and if you like a good clip of flint or stoniness, well it's pretty damn tasty just to slurp.
